Commissions
How much does it cost?
Commission pricing starts at $20 and will vary depending on the size of the piece, the complexity of the design, the time it takes to learn new techniques, and the overall cost of materials.
Shipping costs will be the responsibility of the client and will also vary depending on the size, weight, and shipping destination.
How long does it take?
The commission timeline will depend largely on the request; for example, a commission for a mug or tiny pot will take only a few weeks to complete and ship, whereas a commission for a large outdoor planter would take up to a month to complete, and large orders for a full set of plates would take longer than a month. The timeline will be mapped out alongside the template, but given the temperamental nature of ceramics, the timeline is subject to change. Should this happen, we will keep you updated.
Please read the Commissions Policy carefully before submitting a commission request.
Thank You
How does payment work?
All commissions require a 50% down-payment in order for the project to begin. We will agree to a project template, or vision, before the work starts. You’ll be updated with photos once the commission is complete, and given that the product meets the agreed-upon template, the other 50% of the commission will be invoiced. Once paid in full, the project will be on its way to you!
What can be requested?
We are very flexible and enjoy a challenge, so we accept a wide variety of possible items to request. We are willing to try things that are new to us, from replacing old pottery to unique designs that aren’t available on the current market.
We also offer ceramics-adjacent services, such as Kintsugi Ceramic Repair, Lacquerware, and more.
If you’re uncertain that we will attempt a unique commission, please contact us and we can discuss the viability of the request.
